Over 133 million people reside in Mexico with around 9 million in Mexico City.  Mexico is predominantly Christian at around 91%  with 78% of the population Roman Catholic.

Safety: Mexico is generally safe within the main tourist areas and well travelled hubs but certain states are best avoided.  Check with your own government’s travel advise line before travelling.

TRANSPORT:

Mexico has a good network of long distance bus routes and also some low cost airlines to major hubs.  Local transport within town you can use Collectivo – 12 seater bus’s or ride sharing apps like Uber.

Planning

Weather is very localized in Mexico due to the varied heights above sea level and other factors.
The dry and mild season runs from November to April, while the hot, humid rainy season lasts from May to October. The Atlantic and Pacific coasts also experience hurricane season from June through November.

Packing A layered approach is best if you plan to visit more than one climate zone – ie Mexico City and Cancun as you will be going from high elevation to tropical coastal.

Luxury upwards of 2000 MXN and going much higher especially in tourist areas like Cozumel in high season.
