Bali

The Holiday Island

Information - Bali

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. Kuta is a very busy party place, but travel further afield for the real Bali. Going East or South will find you many less busy beaches, and just as scenic, if not more so.  Ubud in the centre is fantastic for rice paddies and birds while Lovinia in the North with its black sand is really worth a visit. Other areas to consider are Bedugul  for quiter more natural surroundings. For birders and wildlife enthusiasts you can not do better than spend a few days in West Bali National park.
